The Ribble Valley is a food-lover’s heaven. 10% of Britain’s award winning gastro-pubs are located around Clitheroe. That’s the highest density outside of London. We made it our duty to try most of the notable local pubs and restaurants extensively.

Or try Georgonzola in Clitheroe for a great selection of cheeses and nibbles. Just across the street from Wellgate Fisheries. Clitheroe offers a Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Booths, a famous fishmonger and some wonderful butchers as well as two speciality wine merchants.
